The Drinfeld double for $C^*$-algebraic quantum groups

Summary: In this article, we establish the duality between the generalised Drinfeld double and generalised quantum codouble within the framework of modular or manageable (not necessarily regular) multiplicative unitaries, and discuss several properties.
